of Three-Part Program on The United States Constitution
In this program, we will

Where did the Constitution come from?
·
Who wrote the Constitution?
·
What’s in the Constitution (and what
isn’t) ?
·
What was the United States supposed to
look like?
·
What is the Constitution’s importance
today?
The
first session focuses on the Constitution’s origins and its first three
articles, which designed the structure of the legislative, executive, and
judicial branches of the new federal government.
The
second session continues the examination of the three main branches of
government and examines the remaining four articles of the constitution, which
outline the relations between the states and the federal government, the
processes for ratifying and amending the constitution, and the supremacy of
federal law over state and local law in the United States.
The
final session discusses the Bill of Rights and other amendments to the
Constitution, as well as several important Supreme Court cases that interpreted
key sections of the new constitutional framework of the young country.
